A group of pupils (grades 8 to 11) from Ernst Abbe Schule, Neukölln produced a multi-channeled video work together with the artists Matthias Einhoff and Christopher Uhe, in which they thematize their everyday life, their lifeworld, and their notions of art. In order to help the students express critical or ‘uncool’ thoughts, the pupils authorship was mixed up, by having fellow students repeat the previously said. Thus the singular statements became collective declarations and revealed the impact of community. The students not only served as actors for the video, but also as videomakers working on the set, where they were responsible for directing, camera, sound, etc.
